Hello Susan;
Just wanted to let you know that the talking stress guy was a great giveaway in Moncton. Everyone that picked it up and squeezed it was immediately laughing and showing their friends and co-workers. It was really a memorable giveaway so thank you very much for the suggestion.

The cancer society will be grateful.  The bags they make will be paid for this year so the volunteers can keep making them.  We are donating $500.00 to them as well.  The lady said I was an angel that answered their prayers.  They had just had their meeting and could no longer pay for the bags out of their own pockets so this donation was in great timing.

My heart is so big right now it’s just pouring over in happiness.

Jae, you were my Inspiration for this and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

Cheers, Kelly

I never knew my grand-mothers but I have 3 Fairy God-mothers and they are called Jae, Susan and Gabriella.  Thank you so very much – this is most wonderful.

Have a nice warm Christmas.

THE SPIRIT OF AFRICA SHINES GOLD IN TORONTO

Toronto, January 28th, 2008

Amarula Cream Liqueur - “The Spirit of Africa”- promotion wins GOLD for Oakville based communications company, Great Canadian Promotions in the national Image Awards competition.

In conjunction with the Amarula brand team at P.M.A. Canada, Great Canadian Promotions created an Amarula flavoured lip butter which was served by wait staff in bars and clubs in the GTA during a special 8 month, 50 event promotion in 2007. The Image Awards judges representing the Promotional Products Professionals of Canada recognized the triple digit sales increases as proof that Amarula was on everybody’s lips.

“These little pots of lip butter are a great way to create an interactive, experiential link with Amarula and are the perfect gift for the influential urban audience.” Says Jae M. Rang, MAS, CEO and Founder of Great Canadian Promotions, a division of JAE associates Ltd.

This is the 5th Image Award received by Great Canadian Promotions for generating creative and strategic solutions to marketing objectives. Jae M. Rang, MAS, is also the Past Chair of the Promotional Products Professionals of Canada, which serves more than 1600 member companies across Canada. BERMUDA AVIATION SERVICES’ NEW UNIFORM DESIGN WINS GOLD AWARD FOR OAKVILLE BASED FIRM

Date: January 28th, 2008

Toronto, January 28th, 2008

Great Canadian Promotions of Oakville combined safety with style to create an unbeatable uniform for B.A.S taking the GOLD at the National Image Awards competition in Toronto.

The new branded design, a one-piece fashionable polo in a high technical fabric is comfortable in the extreme heat and professional looking for runway personnel. Combing “high-visibility green” and “aviation blue” colours with high candle power 3M striping not only met safety and comfort standards, also GOLD standard to the Image Awards judges.

“Previously it took at least two uniform pieces to meet the required standard and invariably the most important piece – the reflective vest or belt – was left in the locker room or lost. The new design eliminates that possibility.” submits Gene Bean, President, BAS Group of Companies.

This is the 6th Image Award received by Great Canadian Promotions - a division of JAE associates Ltd. - for generating creative and strategic solutions to marketing objectives for clients in 6 countries. Great Canadian Creativity Wins Top Honors at Image Awards

Date: February 12th, 2006

Great Canadian Promotions of Oakville, Ontario received a prestigious Image Award for Creativity, Execution and Results in developing the high impact Best Western International Loot Bag.

“In the category of Dealer Promotions, only 2 finalists made the marks of exceptional standard – we were one of them.” explains Ms. Jae Rang, CAS, President, Great Canadian Promotions.
“Today’s consumer is bombarded with thousands of messages a day. Creating unique and effective communication vehicles means thinking beyond traditional means.”

Best Western International knows that loot bags aren’t just for kids. The quality, branded contents are a hit with the youngsters and the packaging – a reusable car litter bag – is perfect for the family auto.

“We chose Great Canadian over countless other companies to reinvent this piece – we were shocked with the value package they created.” explains Ms. Nesbitt, Director, Best Western Supply Canada

The active, family traveler looking for consistent value is a tough customer in the loyalty department. Finding something that will entertain the young guests and drive the brand home with the parents is nothing short of a treasure in the marketing chest.

“Our members want something that appeal to children, are safe, inexpensive, relevant to their stay, and are in stock when they need them.” was the direction given to Great Canadian Promotions by Ms. Nesbitt.

This award winning loot bag has tripled in popularity within the properties over the past 2 years proving the effectiveness of a targeted one-to-one promotional advertising approach. Great Canadian Promotions, a division of JAE associates Ltd., brings 25 years of promotional marketing experience to their position of endorsed vendor with Best Western International and enjoys a confident results-oriented partnership.

Ms. Rang speaks to a variety of corporate audiences about effective promotional product campaigns as Great Canadian Promotions serves clients in 4 countries.

St. Catharines native elected to Chair National Board.

March 4, 2006, Toronto, ON

Ms. Jae M. Rang, CAS, originally from St. Catharines, received a standing ovation when she took the gavel as the 4th women Chair of the Promotional Products Association of Canada, February 13th, in Toronto.

It was at the Annual General Meeting of the 50th Anniversary Convention of PPACanada, that Ms. Rang addressed the membership, honored with the 06/07 Chair role, reflecting that “…everything has changed, yet nothing has changed…while we’ve grown technologically and our awareness of the world’s issues is more immediate and apparent, you can still tell a company by the people it keeps.”

The Promotional Products Industry is now a $2.5 billion piece of the Canadian advertising puzzle and continues to grow exponentially due to its multi-faceted communication abilities.  Promotional products, used most often as rewards, incentives, premiums, branding tools, and business gifts continue to soar in popularity and effectiveness in all aspects of business.

Jae

Kurt Reckziegel, President & COO of PPACanada remarked: “Jae, besides being a consummate Promotional Product Counselor, has generously
given of her time and professional advice in numerous volunteer positions serving the Industry and the Association members.  Chief amongst these are serving on the Ontario Chapter Board of Directors, including a term as president, and on the national Board of Directors for 7 years culminating in becoming Chair for 2006-07.  Jae leads the fastest growing medium of the Advertising Industry and, as such, will be instrumental in setting Industry goals for the future.”

The hallmark of Ms. Rang’s leadership term will be her one-to-one approach understanding that “Companies don’t make decisions, people do.” This philosophy has driven her to help identify products and tools that serve PPAC’s members primarily as individuals, then as businesses.  This mind set is congruent with the promotional product industry and why this passionate belief has earned her company – Great Canadian Promotions – a prominent position in the Canadian marketplace.

Great Canadian Promotions, a division of JAE associates Ltd. – www.greatcanadian.net - was established in February 1980 as a direct mail house and has broadened its strength and offerings to serve 4 countries as a full-service promotional agency.  Ms. Rang, now in Oakville, Ontario, also serves with NEWH, the Hospitality Network (www.newh.org)  and sits on the Leadership Council for NABS (www.nabs.org)

HOMEless FOR THE HOLIDAYS

December 9th, 2004

A cozy treat is on route to the “Lighthouse” shelter as a result of some creative gift budgeting by a local entrepreneur.

Great Canadian Promotions was looking for a way to thank their clients AND make a favorable donation to charity and designed totes and treasure chests that did both.

“We love to shower our clients with thank you gifts at this time of year but there are 2 problems with that.” says Jae Rang, President of Great Canadian Promotions. “One, is that many corporations rightly limit the value of gifts they allow their buyers to receive and two, a straight cash donation to a charity – thought necessary and welcomed - simply doesn't offer the same “warm and fuzzy” that a personalized gift can.”

The two-part gift includes a blanket-tote bag for the Lighthouse visitors, packed with some necessary amenities and a treasure box with a mini blanket and chocolate treats for the client. Both blankets are decorated with a “Stay Safe ~ Stay Warm” message.

“It’s the responsibility of any business to give back to the community” adds Ms. Rang “and we’re always looking for creative approaches to involve our clients, suppliers and associates in our bigger picture.” The Lighthouse blanket-tote donation is a result of this combined effort and the card inside the client gift appropriately says, “…a blanket tote has been donated in your hon our…”

Great Canadian Promotions, div. JAE associates Ltd., has chosen “Going the Extra Mile” as their 25th anniversary slogan. Ms. Jae M. Rang, CAS, is also a member of the Executive Board of Directors for the Promotional Products Association of Canada and a founding member of the NEWH Southern Ontario Chapter Board for women in hospitality. Ms. Rang is a Speaker and Promotional Marketing Specialist and shares her success with her family and valuable colleague, Susan Holmes.
